After School Sports and Recreation Camp

Transportation

We share transportation responsibilities with the Boys and Girls Club. Each Club sends drivers to the following schools and drops off members at the appropriate club.

* If 5 or more families show an interest in a school not listed above, we will consider transporting girls from additional schools

Van/Bus Rules

• All buses are equipped with a driver and a monitor to supervise the children
• Children should be seated at all times
• All feet should be out of the aisles
• Voices should remain at a conversational level
• Heads and arms must remain inside the windows
• Girls are asked to have their bags or backpacks on the floor between their feet or on their laps rather than on the seat

Absences

• Please call us by noon if your child will not be on the bus/van for any reason that given day
• We cannot stay at any school more than five (5) minutes waiting on a child due to additional stops
• Please inform your child’s classroom teacher that she will be riding a Girls Club vehicle and not to detain her after school

The staff is unable to transport girls in their personal vehicles.

Girls do not have to be transported via Girls Club or Boys and Girls Club vehicles to participate in the after school program – girls can walk, ride their bikes or use the city bus to attend (there is a stop for Route 8 directly in front of the Girls Club). Girls need to check in at the office if they take an alternate form of transportation to the Club.
